Hayfield Spirit Chunky Chevron Scarf Pattern 10865

Beautiful pattern, but I did have an email discussion with the knitting advice lady who checked and for the picture, the knitter had done an extra 18 rows garter stitch, so it ended as shown. This is not in the written pattern. She said at first that it was the cast on edge and I had to send her photos that this could not be the case!
